Additional Energy Details (Optional)

• Number of bedrooms (dropdown 1–6)
• Ceiling type (dropdown: flat, vaulted, attic, cathedral)
• Wall type (CMU, frame, other)
• Foundation type (slab, raised floor, crawlspace)
• Window info (optional fields for area, U-factor, SHGC)
• Water heating system: type, size, efficiency

Typical Requirements

• Mini-splits / ductless systems
  → Manual J + Manual S (load + equipment sizing)
• Central HVAC with ductwork
  → Manual J + Manual S + Manual D (load, equipment sizing, and duct design)
• Small homes, ADUs, simple additions
  → Manual J is often sufficient, depending on local requirements

Florida Projects (Common Scenario)

For many Florida jurisdictions:

• Ductless systems typically require Manual J + Manual S
• Ducted systems typically require Manual J + S + D
