Who this is for

You already go to properties. Add this.

You have a smartphone, a vehicle, and you are comfortable in a crawlspace or on a site. No engineering judgment is asked of you; the app asks for photos and yes/no answers.

    You are already on job sites. Capture a foundation, a framing condition or an as-built for a letter your own clients need, or for ours nearby.

    A 20–40 minute add-on that pays better per minute than most component inspections, with no report to write.

How a visit works

  1. Step 1

    You get a text when there is a job in your radius

    Address, pay and deadline (usually within 5 business days). First to accept gets it.

  2. Step 2

    You schedule with the homeowner through the app

    They know you are coming on behalf of Oasis Engineering.

  3. Step 3

    The app tells you every shot

    Piers, footings, tie-downs, skirting, framing, connections: each photo shows an example and says why it matters. Time and GPS are stamped automatically.

  4. Step 4

    Submit; the engineer reviews

    If a shot is unusable you get a retake request within a day, so wait ten minutes before leaving.

  5. Step 5

    Get paid within 48 hours

    Once the engineer accepts the set, payment is sent by direct deposit.

Plain terms.

What you are doing

Evidence capture only, following our written protocol. You take the photos the app asks for and answer a few yes/no questions. You give no opinions and write no report. The engineer's letter never says you inspected anything.

What you are not doing

No measurements beyond what the app asks, no repairs, no advice to the owner about their structure. If they ask, the answer is "the engineer will review it."

Pay

$125 per standard foundation capture (about 20 minutes). Larger captures, such as a full as-built or framing set, are priced per job and shown before you accept. $0.70 per mile beyond 30 miles each way. $50 trip fee if the owner is not there at the agreed time. Paid as a 1099 contractor through Stripe.

Volume

Honest answer: it depends on your area. Busy metros see several a month; rural counties may see one a quarter. It is fill-in work, not a job.

Gear

Smartphone, headlamp, tape measure; coveralls or a crawl suit for crawlspaces. If you work on sites for a living, you have it.

Requirements

18+, your own vehicle, and either a business that carries general liability or your own policy. Identity verification through Stripe, a short training on our capture protocol, and a signed Field Partner Agreement before any job is assigned. You are only sent visits that match what you told us you are comfortable doing.

Scope of the Field Partner Network. Oasis Engineering, LLC ("Oasis") is a licensed professional engineering firm. Field partners are independent contractors engaged solely to capture documentary evidence (photographs, video and factual yes/no observations) at a property, following Oasis's written site-capture protocol and the step-by-step instructions in the Oasis app. Field partners do not inspect, evaluate, measure beyond the protocol, test, certify, opine, advise, or practice engineering in any form, and nothing a field partner does or says constitutes an engineering service, inspection or opinion of Oasis or of any licensed engineer.

When field partners are used. Oasis dispatches field partners only for narrowly defined, routine capture tasks for which the protocol has been designed and for which the partner has completed Oasis's training and verification and has confirmed they are physically comfortable performing the visit. Whether any given matter is suitable for partner capture is decided case by case, solely by the licensed Professional Engineer of record, who may at any time require additional evidence, a repeat visit, or a personal site visit by the engineer, and who may decline to issue any letter or certification. Every letter, certification and determination is reviewed, authored and sealed exclusively by a licensed Professional Engineer and is the engineer's alone; no letter states or implies that a field partner inspected or evaluated anything.

Relationship and responsibility. Field partners are not employees, agents or representatives of Oasis and have no authority to make statements, commitments or representations on Oasis's behalf, to property owners, lenders, building officials or anyone else. Field partners are responsible for their own safety, equipment, insurance, licensing where applicable, taxes and compliance with law, and must stop any visit they do not consider safe. No job is assigned, and no work may begin, until the applicant has completed onboarding and signed the Field Partner Agreement, which is sent before any job and governs in the event of any conflict with this page; Oasis may accept or decline any applicant, assign or withhold any job, and end participation at any time. Compensation terms described here are illustrative and are confirmed per job in the app before acceptance. In some states services are offered under the undersigned engineer's personal license in compliance with state licensing requirements. Nothing on this page is an offer of employment.
