Do I really need a WPI-8 in my county?
Maybe. If the project is in a Texas catastrophe area and windstorm insurance or lender approval depends on compliance documentation, a WPI-8 is usually required. We screen the address; final applicability depends on the property location and TDI requirements.
What if I already have a structural engineer?
That is fine — this service can be inspection-only. Your sealed drawings can be prepared by any qualified Texas-licensed engineer; we review them for inspection coordination and windstorm compliance items.
What is the difference between WPI-1, WPI-2-BC-8 and WPI-2E?
WPI-1 opens the windstorm inspection application with TDI. WPI-2-BC-8 documents inspection verification during construction. WPI-2E is the final engineering verification package submitted so TDI can issue the WPI-8 Certificate of Compliance.
How long does the whole process take?
It follows your construction schedule: file before construction, inspect while key work is visible, submit final documentation after deficiencies are corrected.
What if you find deficiencies?
We document the issue, explain the correction and coordinate re-inspection. Additional visits or re-inspections are $550 each unless included in your scope.
What if I miss a scheduled inspection?
Covered work may need photos, documentation, partial exposure, engineering judgment or a re-inspection. Schedule early and contact us before covering structural or cladding work.
Is the certificate issued by Oasis or by TDI?
TDI issues the WPI-8 Certificate of Compliance. Oasis handles the inspection process, verification reports, deficiency tracking and the final submittal so TDI can issue it.
What is your refund or cancellation policy?
Cancel before the first inspection visit for a full refund of your deposit, less Stripe processing fees. After site work begins, the deposit is earned based on filings, drawing review and inspections completed to date.
How do I schedule my first inspection after I buy?
After checkout you receive an intake form: project address, drawings, contractor contact, schedule and current construction status. We confirm the inspection window and the stage documentation required.
