40ft High Cube Container Home Plans, 1 Bed 1 Bath – Model A144 1 / 19

Model A144 is the one-bedroom 40ft high-cube plan with the bedroom at one end, a full bath and stacked laundry in the middle, and a galley kitchen opening into a 10-foot living room at the other end. It is the same family as the A14, with a few things done differently: a proper washer/dryer closet, a 9'-6" bedroom with its own emergency-escape window, and the entry through a sliding glass door on the long side instead of the end wall.

Key Features

40ft High-Cube Container: One container, about 320 sq ft, 9'-6" tall for the extra headroom. Bedroom (9'-6" long): Full-size bed, shelves with electrical under, closet with the tankless water heater tucked in, and an emergency escape window. Full Bath (8'-0" long): Sink and toilet, 4'-1" shower, behind its own door. Laundry: Stacked washer/dryer closet between the bath and the kitchen. Galley Kitchen (5'-9"): Mini fridge, sink, built-in burner, and a 4-foot bar with stools under. Living Room (10'-2"): Sectional and TV stand at the end of the container. Openings: Sliding glass entry door on the long side, two plate-glass windows at the bedroom and bath, glass at the living end.

A note on the doors. the renderings show sliding glass doors. Some municipalities require a swing door for egress, and some limit the size of openings in a container wall without added framing. Check with your local building department before you order doors; swapping a slider for a swing door is a small change we can make in the site-specific engineering.
